Following Jesus in India

Email from Jeremiah B. in India

The church is encouraging here and the Word is exaulted. I hiked up a mountain on a trail that was no wider than your feet put together, and preached in a church. It blessed me tremendously...to see the church alive in such remote places. I was the first foreigner to go and they were amazing. God has taught me alot during this time in Sikkim.

I want to leave you with this thought. In the bible the disciples didn't make things happen most of the time, if almost none of the time. They just walked and took advantage of every opportunity that came their way to share Jesus.

The second day I was here I went to visit this Buddhist Monastry to pray over it. When we left we ran into some believers, they had eight guys there from the ages of 17 to 23, they quickly put them in a room inside a Buddhist temple - the gift shop, sat me down with them and asked me to share my testimony, I felt the enemy in such a strong way and I didn't know why at the time, but I was sitting in a Buddhist temple. I started to share my testimony and preach the gospel, and the Lord sat down in that place...it was one of those God times...all eight of them were on the edge of their seats, and they all gave their lives to the Lord. Right after that we went to this believers house and there were two Buddhist sitting on the couch. One was having spiritual attacks and wanted to be free, we shared the gospel and he gave his life to the Lord, the other one was hardened a little bit, but after that guy got saved I felt the Lord wanted me to talk to the other one...I started to point out differences between religions (it reminded me of Paul always trying to persuade men to be saved) after I was done sharing I turned away to drink tea...that person looked at me with tears in their eyes and said, "I want to give my life to Jesus." That is the God I serve!

Sikkim is ripe for the harvest...but the bible is true, the laborers are few. We need to pray. Ten people in one day got saved just by walking down the street. We need to hook up with Jesus Christ and genuine Christianity and see multitudes come to the Lord.

God bless,

Jeremiah B
