The team is right in the middle of it! They are literally making history volunteering in the newly formed Islamic Government of Afghanistan. They are working in a number of different government agencies and ministries and other non-profit organizations. They are having an incredible impact in the government. Several of the students have been working in AIMS (Afghan Information Management System). This government agency works with about 80% of the government ministries to build management information system capacity within each respective ministry. It touches almost every ministry in the government! Others have been working in the Afghan government agency dealing with foreign investment. Every company interested in conducting business in Afghanistan must register there…it is a gateway into the country, and several of the students are positioned and have already found great favor there. The students are working in many other areas as well. There have been so many testimonies already!

The students have also been interceding intensely while in the country. They have been praying for government leaders (especially with the approaching Parliamentary elections in September), peace in the nation, Afghan believers, and so much more. Their intercession in the country comes at a critical time with the recent riots occurring throughout Afghanistan resulting from the Koran desecration controversy, an Internet café bombing, a kidnapping, rockets being fired in the city, and the upcoming Parliamentary elections…all occurring either right before, during, or immediately following the students’ tenure in Kabul. Through it all, God has faithfully kept them safe and has opened so many effective doors to forward His Kingdom! Not only are they practically assisting in rebuilding the nation and influencing leaders, but they are also standing in the gap through worship and intercession for the destiny of the nation.

There is so much more to tell; this is barely scratching the surface. There are so many other testimonies and miracles happening.

Transformation is coming to Afghanistan…and it is beginning already.
